EC2 on Rails

Deploy a Ruby on Rails app on EC2 in five minutes

EC2 on Rails is an Ubuntu Linux server image for Amazon’s EC2 hosting service that’s ready to run a standard Ruby on Rails application with little or no customization. It’s a Ruby on Rails virtual appliance.

If you have an EC2 account and can start EC2 instances you’re five minutes away from deploying your Rails app.

Auto-blogging

I am doing some research on programs and web applications that will automatically post to your blog on a schedule.

The content of the post is an aggregate of your activity over that time period, so for example http://www.diigo.com will auto-post your diigo activity.

I am contemplating writing some python code of my own that will do the same based on activity that I choose to log or funnel into it. So think of having a weekly or daily cache that you funnel your activity into, and then it auto-blogs for you when you are done.

I'd even be willing to click a button before going to bed.

Bcfg2 - Trac

Bcfg2 helps system administrators produce a consistent, reproducible, and verifiable description of their environment, and offers visualization and reporting tools to aid in day-to-day administrative tasks. It is the fifth generation of configuration management tools developed in the Mathematics and Computer Science Division of Argonne National Laboratory.

Auto tagging

I don't want to type in tags all the time. Is there an auto-tagging module that will suggest recommended tags by doing text parsing on an incoming post and/or URL?
