CandyFab: The Revolution Will be Caramelized

What is CandyFab? CandyFab is a machine that can make arbitrary 3D solid objects at low cost from a variety of low-melting point materials including pure sugar.

The CandyFab Project aims to reduce the costs associated with three-dimensional solid freeform fabrication, and to promote the use of fabrication technologies for culinary, educational, and artistic purposes.

Instructions

* First, download the files from the link below and extract the content of the multipart RAR archive with a recent version of WinRAR (or a RAR 3.x compliant archive manager). You will then have an ISO DVD image file. (you can check the md5sum of your downloaded image to check if it is not corrupt).
* Burn the ISO image on a DVD+/-R/RW with your favorite DVD burner software. Be sure to select the "Burn Image" option in your DVD burning software. If unsure, read the help of your DVD burning software.

That's why the hardware hacking community is turning inwards to fund its ideas. Two open source hardware enthusiasts, Justin Huynh and Matt Stack, have started the Open Source Hardware Bank to fund hardware projects such as the microcontroller board pictured above.
